I love that we can live here in the big city of Long Beach, California but still participate in events that feel very small town and community focused. We have walked in this parade for the last 2 or 3 years (can't actually remember). We start at the back gate of our good friend Theresa's house and caravan over as a group. The parade route starts on Country Club Drive and ends at Los Cerritos Park. Once there they have free hot dogs, watermelon and water. They have sack races and a water balloon toss. Of course we ate lots of brownies, fruit, yogurt covered pretzels, etc. brought by our friends. It's a GREAT way to start our 4th of July holiday!
Posing with Daddy before the parade starts.
Here's a short video of the boys pedaling away during the parade. This was an exciting year because it was the first time the rode their bikes verses being pulled in the wagon.
They rode the whole time without complaints. Our boys are getting SO big!

Here's Branden holding BOTH boys while they watch the sack races.
They loved wearing their "USA" hats they made at a super fun play date the day before.
